Hello, I'm Anna Paula Isernhagen Rossetto and I encourage the use of short stories and stories as a personal development tool. For this, I idealized and have been improving a methodology that uses systemic and symbolic thinking to create stories that nourish our internal world, build our subjectivity and transform our emotions and perceptions of the world. This methodology is affectionately called Contoterapia®, which, among many other possibilities, also includes, in its name, my life purpose of working with short stories. I have been working in an office since 2016, creating short stories and providing new narratives, as an integrative therapist, accountant and story creator. 

 

I have training for all tastes and this is due to the fact that I am restless, curious and a Gemini with a Gemini ascendant. Can I say that my Venus is in Gemini too? Well, curiosity and communication are strong points in my personality, I have an inclination to think about the meaning and weight of each word because I believe that the word we pronounce not only shows the images of our internal world but also creates the external world that we experience . 

 

After a transformative initiation, I did a deepening in Non-Violent Communication, in Brazil and later in England, and it was such a life and paradigm change that for a while I organized study and practice groups based on the homonymous book. This detox of the dualized mental model of judgment of a lifetime takes practice. Empathy, compassion, connection, respect, emotional self-awareness and authenticity in communication need space. And I can tell you for sure, when I give the requested space, life lights up from the inside out and the outside in, resulting in win-win relationships.

 

While I was in Brazil, I did a postgraduate course in Storytelling and Children's Musicalization and a course in Contoexpressão, which ended up resulting in the co-authorship of my first book. It was a delight to do this specialization and this course because they deepened my view of the importance of stimulating our imagination and how much stories build our subjectivity. But it was thanks to the first storytelling course, taken with an anthroposophical psychologist in Brazil, that we chose England as our address, because there is an anthroposophical faculty here and within the campus there is the International School of Storytelling, which has more than 20 years and trains people from all over the world. Learning the storyteller's craft from this perspective has made all the difference in the way I conduct courses and workshops today and how I've been using this practice, not to perform or to educate, but for personal development.

 

I started my academic journey by graduating in Business Administration and although I almost chose law because I like foundation and dialectic, knowing how to manage was fundamental in my curious life.   After I graduated I went to live in the USA where I learned a bit about humility, I went back to Brazil, I went out of the country again, this time in Ireland, and what was supposed to be 1 month, turned into more from 1 year. I ended up seduced by the friendliness and magic of that island that is known as the green island and ended up staying much longer than I had planned. It was a year of a lot of backpacking around Europe, jobs as a waitress and also as an administrative assistant at the Stock Exchange.

 

When I returned to Brazil, I decided to honor my academic background, so working in consulting and importing was the experience at the time. I re-met my partner from everything, I say I re-met because we met in the postgraduate course in Strategic Planning and Management, but I didn't remember him (because he was from another class!). Life companion, relationship, growth, children, perrengue, joy, travel, debts, dreams, disappointments, achievements, struggles, learning... .

 

After that, the corporate life of consulting was no longer my calling, as I began to realize that motherhood was asking for a way. I made a choice. I became a baker, working from home and selling cookies and brigadeiros on the street. E  In this alchemy of the stove, I prepared the nest to receive the children, I prepared myself to make room for the receptive feminine who knows that all things have their time. The children came, the solo confectionery could not resist, the conflicts began.

 

Damn! Why doesn't anyone warn that motherhood brings out sides of us that social life doesn't? 

 

And then, this other part of the journey for myself began in earnest, all previous experiences and training proved to be important and useful in this sacred place of motherhood, but they were not even close to enough. So, we attended training in something that revolutionized our perception of life and the way we deal with our health, Biological Reprogramming®. With it we solve many of our health conflicts with information. 

 

I know, it seems crazy to solve fever, cystitis, skin allergy, earache, and so on, with information, but it's a fact, we've been doing it ever since and it's comforting to realize that our children so far haven't had to resort to antibiotics and the like. Of course, if you need it, that's where we go, because common sense and responsibility is vital, but the years are passing and we still haven't reached the point of needing it, which I consider a great maternal success and I'm super willing to share it like you.

 

After that, that curious side of myself led me to Personal Coaching and although I have many reservations about practicing this profession, I had to agree with what Albert Einstein once said, which are the questions that move the world. And from that experience, what remained was the posture of looking at the resolution.

 

And since I mentioned Einstein, I have to say that I was swept away by the tales and stories in the sentence where he says that "Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination surrounds the world." I get thrilled!

 

In early 2019 we moved and I currently live with my family in the north of England. It's been a journey that we don't know when and if it will end, but until then, it has been providing us with great family learning. 

 

Today, Contoterapia® is this alchemical cauldron of empathetic listening of CNV, these questions that mobilize, this biological, systemic and familiar self-awareness of Biological Reprogramming®, all lined up by the stories, metaphors and symbols of Storytelling._cc781905-5cde- 3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

 

And I am here to offer what I learned, I apply it and it works.
